1973
Brothers Thodoris and Zois Faklaris set up an olive oil mill in the Argolis village of Skafidaki in eastern Peloponnese. Their mill is the first in the region.
1976
Olive oil distribution extends to markets outside the Argolis prefecture (Attica and Northern Greece).
1981
Mill is upgraded and converted from press to centrifugal.
1985
Expansion abroad with first exports to Italy.
1986
The Argolis brand name is launched in honor of our native land.
1987
Olive oil packaging launched in new facilities. Continuous upgrades.
1990
Olive oil and table olive exports to Australia.
1991
The company consolidates its position in the Greek market and expands its footprint to Europe and the Balkans. Awarded first prize at a tasting competition in Sweden.
1995
Product range expands to include sunflower and corn oils.
2000
Olive oil and table olive exports to China. Gradual expansion to Taiwan, Pakistan, and Brazil.
2001
Technological upgrades and tripling of production.
2009
Olive oil mill is further upgraded and converted to a two-stage centrifugal grinding unit to reach a production capacity of 12 tons/hour.
2010
New growth prospects with the development of state-of-the-art olive processing facilities.
2014
New unit constructed in the key olive oil producing area of Ahladokambos in Argolis.
2017
Bronze medal at the London International Olive Oil Quality Competition.
2020
Completion of new 5,000sq.m. building facilities on a single 36-acre plot—a milestone project for Argos and the Peloponnese.
2021
Dawn of a new era in the company’s history with the launch of a corporate identity and branding campaign under the name Faklaris.
2022
With average sales of 5,000 tons annually, the company holds a strong position in the olive oil market. Expected completion of the investment project with the introduction of guided tours and walking routes for mill visitors, and the launch of specially designed venues for hosting educational seminars and cultural events.
